The paper uses the theories of linguistics , statistics , cognitive psychology, gains a lot of statistic data and charts, researches the actual glossary status in three series of Chinese textbooks in the elementary school, researches the glossary constitutes of Chinese textbooks in order to provide academic bases for compiling Chinese textbooks.Firstly, the paper investigates the glossary constitutes of Chinese textbooks in the elementary school, consisting of commonly glossary constitutes and special glossary constitutes of Chinese textbooks in the elementary school: children glossary, adult glossary, teaching glossary. There are two verbal frequencies: actual verbal frequency and natural verbal frequency. The paper reconstructs the glossary constitutes of children glossary.Secondly, the paper investigates the glossary constitutes of Changyongci of Chinese textbooks in the elementary school, and reconstructs the progress of children recognizing Changyongci.Thirdly, the paper investigates the glossary constitutes of Gaopinci of Chinese textbooks in the elementary school, and then bring forward the concept of "Glosseme".In conclusion, the glossary constitutes of Chinese textbooks in the elementary school is logical, but there are some lacks.
