Multicultural education rose in the 1960s and 1970s in the western developed countries. Multicultural education is based on respect for different cultures. An equal education is conducted among diverse cultures with objectives and plans in order to increase mutual understanding among diverse cultural groups. It has multi-cultural and multi-ethnic in our country. The rise and development of multicultural education has provided new perspectives in research of ethnic education in our country. A new reform in curriculum of elementary education has set a pattern of developing and managing curriculum at three levels, which has provided a wide space and system safeguard for offering multicultural education in ethnic minority regions. Curriculum is the important way of the multicultural education implementation. The school-based curriculum should be multiple and authentic with multicultural education ideas. Offering multicultural school-based curriculum will not only help stimulate development of education in ethnic regions, but also meet the real needs of ethnic minority students and deepen respect and understanding of cultural varieties and diversities. This paper gives a research of the school-based curriculum in the multicultural education perspective in ethnic regions. The auth clearly gives multicultural school-based curriculum construction systems. This should be positive innovation by the combination between multicultural education and school-based curriculum development, which help stimulate development of education in ethnic minority regions. Therefore our school education embodies unification and varieties. This aim of the paper is to try to establish basic framework school-based curriculum guiding the multicultural education in ethnic regions.This research is divided into four parts. The first part is a general survey of the multicultural education and school-based curriculum. The following is the points of important, values and methods. The second part gives a detail on the multiculturalschool-based curriculum, including the definition of multicultural school-based curriculum, the necessary of multicultural school-based curriculum implementation and the relationship between unification and varieties. The third part gives a study of the multicultural school-based curriculum on the purpose, contents, instruction, teaching, evaluation and management. The last part puts a study of the curriculum implementation, including the feasibilities, existing problems and solutions.
