Western University Culture And The Construction Of Chinese University Culture

The long-history higher education in the western world starts from middle ages. Because of its individualism and freedom spirit, the structure and content of western college culture are different from ours apparently. As to the foreign culture, we often take the measure of "Take-in" which was brought up by Lu xun. During the course of culture-selecting and absorbing, Chinese traditional culture has been improved gradually. In the meanwhile, this course has great impact on our cultural structure and educational system. College culture, as a sub-system of traditional culture, which shows the characters of the school, has much effect on everyone in the campus. Moreover, just as Sun Zhongshan's point of view to the culture, we should "absorb the essence and give up the trash" when we take advantage of the western culture.Following the upper idea, both the intensive and extensive meaning of the western college culture are further analyzed based on the introduction of its multiple characters. Furthermore, the effective measure to the construction of our college culture in the new century is explored. At the same time, we should take advantage of the foreign college culture to form our own characters, thus to cultivate the future backup team, to build a strong foundation, to make the excellent spirit motivation and intelligent support for our countrv.
