Many early social theoist had researched the process of social exchange.Adam smith,a british political economist of 18th had analysed the market -the results of millions of individual economic exchange concentrate in the round about the exchange of society in early times.Homans had firstly put forward exchange theory in the sixties of 20th ,he had taken it for granted that the pattern of reciprocity among persons and the exchange in market was in the same way that every person hoped cost should bring reward. As a commissary of exchange theory,he combined basic economic concepts such as cost,reward,value, with psychology, and built up five propositions. Which basing on those,Homans had established exchange theory.This article try to describe the state of marriage with exchange theory,trying to rebuilded up the connotation of marriage.The auther thinks marriage as an endless exchange .thus, in some sence,the parlance of which marriage is divine has been broken.Marriage is an exchange,a contract between wife and husband,sometime,somewhere.If the time or the place had changed, and the content of exchange could not satisfy one or both.,the couples could amend the item of the contractor cut off the contract.According to me,it is a theoretic innovation that the systemic explaintion which marriage is a endless exchange .although we could always find application of marriage here and there in practise.Although social exchange theory is one of many points of view about describing marriage,we could begin to understand and appraise marriage renewedly.
