| Nowadays, along with the foundation education reform move forward entirely, how to design, implement and guide scientific inquiry activity has been become one of the subjects of the educator.This article presents an effort to be based on some theoretics, and adopts the means about theory combined with practice, the researcher carries out a preliminary study on scientific inquiry activity design. It has three parts altogether. The first part is mainly the theoretical study, we analyze the general study situation about scientific inquiry activity in other countries and our country. And then we discuss the definition and the basic element of scientific inquiry, at the same time, we probe into the scientific inqury of domestic and overseas science education, and we also probe into multifarious viewpoints on various theoretical background, thus we card the theoretics foundations about scientific inquiry and scientific inquiry activity design, all of those have offered the guidance of theory and use for reference to practise when we carry through the study on scientific inquiry activity design.In the secend part, we have practised. Be based on the theoretical study and practice, we design several activities and put some activities in practice, thus we obtain the first hand feedback information. Through the investigation about some teachers whose understanding about scientific inquiry activity, we find some impediments to design and implement scientific inquiry activity, and we also have preliminary understanding about inquiry activity in classroom after we observe them, and so on. At last, we summarize the basic styles of scientific inquiry activity and design principles, and we also put forward design methods about scientific inquiry activity, and we also conclude what qualifications an availability inquiry activity maybe have.In the last part, we reflect on our study.Through the preliminary study we experience scientific inquiry profoundly, there are some hardships and enjoyments.
