With the Chinese government committing to open its domestic education market, the prospect for developing education becomes a bot issue that attracts many people of educational circles after China joined the WTO. To open the education market, we need not only learn the rules of WTO, but also research on and learn from the successful experience of other WTO members in education service trade. On the basis of reading a great deal of documents and data from various research fields, such as education, sociology , economics, management, law and international trade etc., I firstly discuss in the paper the education service trade of the developed countries and China, the concepts of service, service trade and Consumption Abroad. According to the documents and data, I then make a review and analysis of the research achievements that have been made in education service trade. The paper discuses the background data of the World Trade Organization, <>and some WTO members who commit to open their domestic education markets. Comparative Advantage Theory and Factor Endowment Theory are used here to analyze education consumption abroad. On all these bases, Chinese education consumption abroad is compared with the developed countries' through comparative research method, so that we can find the issues and the problems that China has in education consumption abroad area. Finally, according to the data and the relevant economic theories, the paper gives some suggestions on promoting the development of Chinese high education consumption abroad.
