This essay is probing into some narrative tactics and skills about some modern works (mainly referring to novels)in the Chinese textbooks for middle school.It is divided into three parts:The first part discusses their separate characteristics and reasons causing the differences between the traditional narrative proses and the modern narrative ones, which are outcomes during the specific historical period.The second part is probing into some narrative tactics in the Chinese textbooks, discussing some applications of the modern narrative tactics in Chinese teaching for middle school by analyzing the works by LuXun and the Western modern works and supplying the teaching of the Chinese novels for middle school with some new teaching methods.The third part is pointing out how to guide the students in reading some modern works in teaching by using some modern narrative tactics and applying new subject standards about Chinese for high school.
