Colleges and universities are frontiers of the development and application of web techniques, and the proportion of college students "touching the web" is much higher than that in other areas. The development of Internet has produced far-reaching influences on college students' thinking mode, behavior mode, psychological development, values and political tendency, and thus has put forward serious challenges for theories and methods of our traditional ideological and political quality education. The ideological and political quality is one of the most important qualities and is the core and soul of college students' quality education. Therefore, to explore, discuss and study the influences of Internet on college students' ideological and political quality and how to take corresponding educational countermeasures so as to adapt to requirements of the development, is an important subject that faces broad ideological and political educators in colleges and universities. Nowadays, beneficial exploration has been made in some universities by using Internet to carry on the ideological and political work and certain experience has been accumulated. However, generally speaking, the ideological and political education through the web is still at the stage of the beginning and there is no ready-made model for us to copy. It is of great urgency for us to make an exploration and study in respects such as ideological understanding, working system, condition guarantee and team construction. In this thesis, in order to carry out requirements on ideological and political education through the network in universities from the Ministry of Education, a quite comprehensive, scientific and reasonable research and exploration of the influences of Internet on college students' ideological and political quality has been made. And at the same time, countermeasures have also been put forward. In this thesis it is reported that firstly, a questionnaire was made for investigating the situation of college students' "touching the web" so that the popularization of Internet among college students, its application, students' aim and motivation for entering the web have all been understood. Secondly, an analysis of influences of Internet on college students' ideological and political quality has been made and new requirements for ideological and political work in universities in the web times have been made clear. Thirdly, according to new requirements of Internet for the ideological and political work in universities, the thesis has put forward suggestions on corresponding countermeasures for solving problems. That is, the mechanism for campus network ideological and political education should be established and improved, and in ideological and political working methods in colleges and universities, new ideas should be brought forth. Lastly, the following conclusions have been arrived at: firstly, Internet has become college students' important path for obtaining knowledge and information and has become an important factor for influencing their learning, life, ideas and values. Secondly, there is no doubt that Internet is a "two-sided sword" that brings about negative influences for college students' ideological and political quality. Such a situation has brought about a great impact on traditional ideological and political work in universities and new requirements are put forward. Thirdly, facing influences of Internet on college students' ideological and political quality, we should make full use of the modern information transmission means of Internet, adopt corresponding countermeasures and do well the ideological and political work of college students.
