The core of constructivism is : Learning is not students' passive acceptance of the knowledge tought by the teacher, but their active construction based on the knowledge and experience they have already got. The constructing activity should happen in a certain social environment. Mathematics teaching should promote students to build their own mathematics cognitive structure actively. The essay expounds the constructivism theory and the necessity of using the learning theory of constructivism to guide the maths teaching reform in middle schools. Furthermore it puts forward the methods and processes of teaching maths under constructivism learning circumstance . Fristly , analyse objectives and decide the theme . Secondly , reorganize the resources and create suitable situations . Thirdly, study on their own and independent exploration . Fourthly coordinate study and promote communication and rouse thought . Fifthly , meaning construction and changeable practice . Sixthly , reflective comments and promote development. Finally , do some experimental research .The experiment of designing mathematical teaching under constructivism learning circumstance fully proves the following condusions .1. Designing mathematical teaching under constructivism learning circumstance can arouse students' interest of learning maths.2. It strengthens students'consciousness of principal part.3. It is helpful to develop students' ability of creative thinking . 4 . It can improve students' maths .
