Content: The development of science depends on the promotion of research method. The Education is not exceptional. Scientific method of educational research and methodology is very important to promote the development of the science of education. But the study of method of educational research and methodology is the weak point in Chinese educational research at present. Most of the researcher in education don't think highly of the study of method of educational research and methodology in China. In recent years, a new term-Qualitative Research-has arisen in educational circles, so many researchers have probed into it. At the same time, the researchers have explored another important method -Quantitative Research too. But most of these achievements are that the authors express their own opinions to Quantitative Research on the theory. The key of the problem is that some views are only on the basis of the authors' thinking. So the appearance of the situation that opinions vary and each sticks to his own view can hardly be avoided. The result is that the knowledge on the Quantitative Research is not comprehensive, objective and correct. Therefore, we investigated, analyzed and disclosed the current situation of utilization of Quantitative Research in internal and external education in order to understand Quantitative Research objectively and fairly. In the study, we use following methods such as Literature analysis, Content analysis, Inspection historically, Comparison, Form and Illustration. The study shows that the educational research method of China is relatively single and that the traditional Qualitative Research is the main method but Quantitative Research is the secondary method. The statistics also demonstrates that more than 90 percent of Educational research methods is the traditional Qualitative Research and less than 10 percent is the Quantitative Research in China. But the proportion of Quantitative Research overseas is about 30 percent at present. Second, There is great difference between China and foreign countries in the utilization of Quantitative Research and Quantitative Research should be used more extensively in China. Third, the Quantitative Research is made little in China's Educational Research and relatively, it is used more extensively in the economics of education than others. Fourth, since The Quantitative Research was applied in Chinese educational research at 1980s, the process of its utilization was that it was taken most seriously at the middle of 1980s and then its position descended slowly and rise or fall to now.
