Based on the findings, the authors have drawn following conclusions:(1) Although overall progress has been made in training the farmers in Beijing, the current training system and institutions can not effectively combat the challenges of social-economic development of Beijing. There is still significant gap between training demands and training services.(2) Due to the lack of policy support, institutional coordination, insufficient fund allocation for strengthening the institutional capacity, lack of qualified trainers, in adequate training methods and organization pattern, the training efficiency and follow-up impacts are still not significant.(3) Farmer's ages, education degree and personal competences are also important individual factors affecting the training efficiency and follow-up impacts.Based on the above findings and conclusions, the authors also formulated recommendations for improving the institutional capacity, training methodology in order to increase the farmer's training efficiency in achieving the development goal of Rural Beijing.
