The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship of parent-adolescent and coping strategies for the Primary school and the Junior-high-school students in Macau.Survey research is conducted in the study. The subjects include 600 Primary school and Junior-high-school students randomly drawn from Primary school and Junior-high-school in 5 zones of Macau. The statistics procedures include t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation.The conclusions about this study are as following:(1)Perception of the parent-adolescent conflict is below the average, they had higher degree with father on "independence be violated" , "miscommunication", and lower degree on "duty disputation". As for mother, they have higher degree on "misconmunication", "independence be violated", and lower degree on "duty disputation".(2)Concerningthe coping strategie' s the Primary school and Junior-high-school students usually "compromise" , "avoidance" , and seldom use"acconmodation "to father. As for mother, they usually use "compromise", "avoidance ", and seldom use "accommodation".(3)There are significant differences in the variables of Primary school and Junior-high-school students as gender, grade, academic achievement, SES, and parenting style, on parent-adolescent conflict, but no significant difference in the variable of primeia school and junior-high-school students as birth sequence.(4)There are significant differences in the variables of Primary school and Junior-high-school students as gender, grade, academic achievement , parenting style, and SES, on coping strategies, but no significant difference in the variable of Primary school and Junior-high-school students as birth sequence.(5)There were significant correlation between parent-adolescent conflict and coping strategies for junior-high-school student.
