Survey On Outside Reading Of Senior Students In Wuhan City

Outside reading is the main way of leisure and practical reading activities for the senior middle-students. This survey is based on random sampling (question paper) and face-to-face interview, aiming at investigating the following real situations in outside reading of the senior students in Wuhan City: (1)the part that outside reading takes in the senior middle-students leisure life. (2)The desire, interest and motivation in their outside reading. (3)The involved reading situation and ways. (4)The concerned factors from families and schools that have influence on outside reading. (5)The attitude and self-image concept in outside reading. Based on this survey, and compared with many same survey from home and abroad, I come to my own series conclusion. And combined with some theory on social culture, family education and school education, I gave some explanation to these conclusions through analysis and synthesis. Finally, I put forward some social guiding strategy and reading teaching methods to promote senior students' outside reading ability.
