Study On College's Curriculum-Designing Under Quality Education Background

Considering the problems that exist in our college's curriculum-designing, summarizing the former researching, and referring to experience from several foremost universities in and abroad, some views which are related to macroscopical background of "quality education" are brought forward. And some revelations are obtained which are expected to be beneficial to our college's curriculum-designing practice.The main research work of the thesis is outlined as follows: First, actuality on our college's curriculum-designing is introduced and some main problems are pointed out and theirs' reasons are analyzed. The author considers that there are many reasons for this but the most important thing lies in the deficiency study of theory. Thus two study emphases are drawn: One is developing the deepness and extent of college's curriculum-designing theory, assimilating all existing curriculum theories. There are many studies on curriculum theories in and abroad, such as: curricula view of humanism and naturalism, curricula view of empiricism and essentialism, curricula view of structuralism and humanitism. These views can offer us some references but they also have drawbacks. After all, different ages need different theories as guidance. Therefore, considering the macroscopical background of "quality education" thinking, a curricula view of "quality education" is deduced. The other one is referring experiences from several foremost universities in and abroad, and a suit of basic principle and fulfillment method about curriculum-designing that suits the situation of our country is given. We select some representative universities concluding Harvard University, MIT, Tokyo University, Peking University and Tsinghua University. Through introducing theirs latest undergraduate's curriculum, we hope this can be beneficial to our college's teaching and curriculum reform. Finally, some principle, suggestion and countermeasure that suit our colleges are induced. At the guidance of "curricula view of quality education", in the case of Electrical Engineering Department of some key university, we set a suit of reasonable structure, optimizing curriculum that is provided with advancement and operation.
