In recent years, EQ (emotional quotient) and correlative concept EI (emotional intelligence) has become one of the hotspots that the domestic and oversea psychologists pay much attention to. Relative to IQ, "EQ" represents a measure and description of a person's "emotional ". It is a key characteristic factor to influence every aspect of a person's vita and life by digging emotional potential and utilizing emotional capacity. Along with the more and more scorching competition in the employment market, the employers' requirements for graduates' comprehensive ability are rising. Employment quality, as an indication of undergraduates' employment level and the quality of the college education has been paid more and more attention by all the groups in the society. The author emended the scales based on the literature summarize and studied on the employment quality and the EQ of undergraduates from different layers in this thesis. Thereinto, EQ is evaluated from 4 aspects: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and social skill. While employment quality is evaluated with impersonal index and subjective satisfaction. Through correlation, comparison and regression analysis, the notable direct proportional correlativity between the graduates' EQ (rather than their scores) and employment quality is validated. Furthermore, different subjects do not make a distinct impact or difference to their EQ and employment quality, and assuming the cadre of students can enhance university students' EQ level and employment quality in a certain extent. In fact,on the whole progress of employment, EQ exerts more influence than IQ from preparation and accommodation, even to the success of career. Therefore we suggest emphasizing improving the university students' EQ level through diversified ways as well as doing training and education on knowledge and techniques of their major fields to improve their social competitive position and employment quality.
