| This thesis intends to analyze the present situation about English vocabulary learning in the Senior Middle School, sum-up the latest theory and research result related to English vocabulary learning and teaching, and put forward two problems to be settled urgently:I. Students' lack of vocabulary competence and the college-entrance examination demands on themII. How to perfectly combine the vocabulary learning strategies with the vocabulary teaching strategiesThe thesis states the vocabulary learning strategies and the vocabulary teaching strategies by studying the related theory and research results, discuss the possible solution or practical training depending on large quantities of English vocabulary teaching practice.According to the author, Vocabulary Learning Strategy training and directing are both necessary and effective for English learners to adjust the vocabulary learning concepts and strategies, overcome their anxiety, develop their interest and build their self-confidence. Meanwhile, teachers should lay emphasis on how to combine Vocabulary Learning Strategies with Vocabulary Teaching strategies, how to help the students to form the good habit of learning independently and learning by themselves in all the lifetime. |
