At first, the thesis makes an investigation which is about the English vocabulary study of senior middle school students, the questionaire shows : some senior middle school students' vocabulary quantities can' t meet the demand of further vocabulary study in college. What' s the reason, how to deal with the problem, how to put the theories into practice, What' s the results and problems and so on, these questions will be studied in the thesis.1. Study and analyze the English vocabulary strategies of different countries. The questionaire shows that what strategies the senior middle school students are using and what' s the results and problems.2. Study the latest theory of English vocabulary teaching and the ones that the senior middle school students are adopting , discuss which strategies are more suitable to students.The author believes: It' s better to study the English vocabulary teaching and learning strategies further, combine one' s own school situation and that of different students, keep on summarizing and accumulating, help students get over anxious mood. Doing like these , we believe that senior middle school students can form scientific study methods and later have the ability and habit of self-study.
