School choice is a popular problem now in basic education field. Ardent controversies have been carried out in the society and the academia. As opinion vary, there isn't a verdict yet by now. Therefore, it's very necessary to card the train of thought, clear up the right and wrong, in order to form the right attitude to school choice, search for effective methods to problems. Based in this purpose, the thesis is trying to prove that school choice is the result of social development with rationality and necessity, hoping can chalk up more reflection. The thesis divided into four sections : Section one is by exploring and discussing the basic connotation of school choice to conclude four characters. Then analyse some current forms of school choice. Section two is investigate and analyse it historical background and actuality. Firstly analyse thoroughly its background where the school choice appear. Then investigate its actuality as detailed as prssible in the way of questionnaire and interview, so help people know the phenomenon positively. Section three is expatiate the exsit inevitability and influence. It analyses the inevitability from such points of view as education equity, legal policy, children, school and social development and the overseas experience. Then analyses objectively the merits and demerits the school choice brings about, further concluding school choice is inevitable. Section four is argue the countermeasures of the school choice problem currently. Perspect its essential can definitude its necessity with emphasis on norm and leading. Propose the countermeasures for the school choice.
