The remarkable character of new curriculum innovation is to change the learning style of students, which fit both the demand of education to adapt the knowledge "exploding", and the demand of students to learn the lifelong-learning. Converting the learning style of students is to convert the passive accepting learning style and to reveal the cognition of discovering and exploring in learning process, which is the process for students discovering, applying, analyzing, and resolving more problems. Therefore, how to grasp the pulse of learning style in middle school chemistry lectures is the key task to transfer the learning style of students. Based on the concept of the New Curriculum, the meanings, categories and characteristics etc. of study style, this paper surveyed and analyzed the present situation of chemistry curriculum by questionnaire and interview in four middle schools in ChangChun. By this study, we have provided the first-hand data to push the New Curriculum innovation. By the survey, we found that most students in the third grade still using the passive and mechanical study styles. In addition, affected by the diversities of the individual fancy, the knowledge type, and the exterior environment, there are many differences when the students select how to study by themselves. Therefore, we concluded that the teachers should properly treat with the relationship between teaching and learning, and change their traditional teaching style based on the actual instruction situation, and explore the proper multiple study styles which are fit for the third grade students, and make the students enjoying studying, learning self-studying and self-developing.
