Chinese Communist Party and government attach more and more importance to the rural education. And at the same time the rural education takes a good opportunity to develop fast. Based on the spot investigation, this thesis tries to carry out integration between comparative study and native study. By natural observation and interview, and so on, the author discussed the peasants' attitude towards the compulsory education. The whole thesis is composed of three parts. Section One. Preface. The author elaborated the origination of his research and introduced the nature circumstance of the 2nd Group of Dongsheng village, Jilin Province. Section Two. Discussing many kinds of peasants' ideas of the compulsory education. Form the visual angle of noncooperation, marginal benefits, exchange, social capital, rational choice, the author analyzed the peasants' cognitive and attitude towards the compulsory education. Section Three. The author points out many advices and countermeasures against the problems of rural education. Closing. Summarizing the whole dissertation and posing some expects for the development of compulsory education in rural.
