Study Of Equal Compulsory Education To The Children Of Peasant Migrants——Taking The County Of Fuqing In Fujian Province For Example

With the development of economics and society, the trend of cross-regional population movement is gradually frequent. A large amount of rural redundant labors move to the city, and eastern coastal economic developed region. The children of migrant worker’s education is increasingly becoming a problem which turns to be the important issue of government. The key to solve the problem which is belonging to this special group is to make children of migrant worker share fair compulsory education as the urban students.According to the research model of "raising problem-analyzing problem-solving problem", this thesis includes the following main study method:literature reading, questionnaire survey, case comparison participatory interview etc. Base on the definition to the related-concepts, and the equal public educational service theory, the research starting point is located in the Fuqing County (Fujian) which is gathered many migrant workers. The deep and systemic survey and analysis on the basic educational situation is done on the children of migrant workers in there. The research points out the main problem of children of migrant works’ education is including educational opportunity, process of accepting education, the uneven benefits of education. The paper also analyses the reasons of the problem. Moreover, the thesis shares the experience and inspiration of fair compulsory education in Britain, United States, Japan and several developing countries. Finally, In this thesis, suggestion and strategy of promoting the fairness of compulsory education for children of migrant worker is roundly analyzed from the following three aspects:opportunity fairness, process fairness, and result fairness.
