National defense education is a branch of science, which is an adjoint offspring of strategics and pedagogy in close communication with psychology, history, geography, sociology, etc.It has been a historicity problem for national defense education in our country. National defense education has got thereof fineness tradition, meanwhile, has its insufficiency. There is no denying to say that national defense education in wholly higher education region has taken vital function recently.This thesis is divided into five parts besides exordia and epilogue besides. As follows, the first part describes the background of national defense education brought in; the second part introduces national defense education background and correlated instances in our country; the third part talks about the situation on policies and statutes of national defense education in foreign countries; the forth part, which is also the most emphasis part of this thesis, states several feasible tentative plans on how to strengthen and consummate the construction of curricula for national defense education; at last, the fifth part introduces other aspects on national defense education in local colleges and universities.
