From the angle of young children's development, reading is their need, meanwhile plays a unique role in their development. From the angle of the times, reading becomes an important problem by the needs of the knowledgeable economic era and its being ignored by the net era. From the angle of education, the whole world pay more attention to young children's readingo Accordingly, it's important to study young children's reading. By analyzing the concept and essence of early child's reading, the summary of studies about it, and the problems exist in our education, it is clear that young children's interest of reading is a significant issue.An elderly class in one kindergarten is chosen as my research objects. Case study, one method of qualitative study is chosen as the method of my study. Through observations, questionnaires and interviews, the study has examined the actuality of children's interest for the first step, analyzed the reason the actuality for the second step and based on which, research the strategy to upgrade children's interest of reading in the real situation of education for the final aim.As a result, the actuality is that children in this class uninterested in books, individual reading and collective reading. The main factors which influence young children's interest of reading are reading materials, circumstances of reading and methods of teacher's direction. First of all, the characteristics of reading materials which can upgrade young children's interest of reading are as follows: the subject is close to children's life; the scenario is unexpected; the space of a whole page contains both pictures and characters; the tongue is similar to children's; the main structure of sentences are repeated frequently; and the difficulty is mezzo. Secondly, the characteristics of circumstances which can upgrade young children's interest of reading are as follows: physical circumstances which contains reading corner which is comfort, quiet, free, safe and abundant, and walls which has characters on it; meanwhile psychological circumstances which is filled with interaction and joy, be supported by the teacher. Finally, the characteristics of teacher's instruct methods which can upgrade young children's interest of reading are as follows: leading children to love books and fulfilling experiences related to the book before reading; inspiring by suspense, relating to the original life experiences, asking open questions, using pictures, and noting reading questions while reading; organizing continued reading activities, intensifying reading actions and letting children participate in creating the environment to consolidate children's reading.
