Parent-child reading is an essential component of the early reading, parents play a very important role in forming children’s reading interest,reading habits and reading skills. If parents can actively and effectively carry out parent-child reading, that will make children healthy overall development.Narrative competence is an important part of language ability to children, it is mostly refer to oral narrative for children. Narrative ability is closely connected with language development,it has great significance on children’s literacy reading, cognitive development, and so forth.Young children’s reading interest is the key point of early childhood reading,also is a part of lifelong learning. Reading interest not only bring power to read, but also has a role in the development of reading ability.This paper investigates the present situation of parent-child reading, analyzes the interaction between the parent-child reading and summarizes the problems existing in the parent-child reading through the questionnaire and observation.Then,73children from middle and senior classes in a kindergarten in Shanghai served as researcher objects. In this research, which lasted entire five months, children in experimental group family received interactive share reading intervention, and in the control group family read books for children in the traditional way. With the tool of story board of multiple intelligence and children’s reading interest questionnaire, the author obtained narrative and reading interest samples from children before and after the intervention. Based on analyzing the condition of children’s narrative competence and reading interest before the research, the difference of scores between the experimental group and the control group before and after the research, the author gets the following findings:1. Parents lack correct parent-child reading guide strategies.2.4to6years old children’s reading interest does not exist the differences between age and gender. Narrative ability exists age differences but no gender differences. (1)Interactiveshare reading can promote young children aged4to6readingparticipation and development tendency;(2)Interactiveshare reading can promote4to6aged children story grammar,subject apt, appropriate structure, length, the use of dialogue, expressive, vocabularyand sentence structure seven narrative dimensions;(3)Interactive share reading is suitable for children aged4to6.This study focuses on the influence of interactive share reading to children’sreading interest and narrative skills. Try to explore a set of maximum parent-childreading model to promote the development of children’s reading and language.Hopingto stimulate further research on promoting the development of more effectiveparent-child reading mode according to current situation.
