| The international study on the quality of life started between 1920s and 1930s. Around the 1950s to 1960s, such kind of study began to spread. But the climax of the study did not come up until the 1980s. During the past decades, the focus on quality of life has changed from caring more for objective index to paying more attention to subjective index, and then, to only keeping an eye on subjective index. Compared to the study on the quality of life, the research on the quality of life of the elderly began much later. It was not until the 1980s did that field intrigued scholars.The study on the quality of life began around 1980s in our country. And because of this, Chinese scholars did not face the dilemmas of which part of the quality of life should be paid more attention, the objective index or the subjective index. But as a whole, Chinese researchers gave more concentration on the objective index. As for the study on the quality of life of elderly, researchers at home just took it into consideration from the 1990s.No matter at home or abroad, the researches on the study of quality of life of the elderly usually look on the whole aged as the sample. Seldom is there any research only takes the female elderly as the sample. This phenomenon intrigued me, and when I began to plan my dissertation, I made up my mind to hold a survey on the quality of life of the female elderly. Through the analysis on these 4 dimensions, I want to figure out which are the most substantial factors that influence the quality of life of female elderly and how much they influence it.The result of the analysis is shown in the following paragraph.Body function is the most substantial factor that influences the quality of life of the female elderly.
