The family has a profound impact on individual growth and development.Previous research has found that family function is an important factor affecting life satisfaction and individual positive emotions.The functioning of family functions directly affects the learning and life of middle school students.Therefore,researches on family function have been widely concerned by researchers.In recent years,with the rise and development of positive psychology,more and more researchers have explored this issue from different new perspectives.This study used the Family Function Scale revised by Li Rongfeng and others,the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Scale revised by Zhu Xiongzhao and others,Ye Yiduo and Fang Bi’s Adolescent Psychological Capital Scale and Zhang Xinggui and others.The Youth Life Satisfaction Scale surveyed and analyzed 1,000 middle school students in a number of middle schools in Shanxi,Hebei,Anhui,Fujian and other places.The purpose was to understand the characteristics of middle school students’ family function,cognitive and emotional regulation,psychological capital,and life satisfaction And the relationship between the four,and in-depth exploration of the mechanism of family function,the conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)On the whole,middle school students ’family functions,life satisfaction,and psychological capital are at a moderately high level;middle school students are more likely to adopt positive emotion regulation strategies;middle school students’ family functions,cognitive emotion regulation,psychological capital,and life satisfaction There are significant differences in the degree score and some dimensions in grade,mother’s education level,father’s education level,and family economic status;(2)There are significant correlations between the four variables of family function,cognitive emotion regulation,psychological capital,and life satisfaction among middle school students.Family function is positively correlated with positive emotion regulation strategies,life satisfaction,and psychological capital;negative Negative correlations between emotional regulation strategies and family function,life satisfaction,and psychological capital;family function of middle school students positively predicts positive emotional regulation strategies and psychological capital,and negatively predicts negative emotional regulation strategies;(3)Cognitive emotion regulation and psychological capital have a chain intermediary role between family function and life satisfaction.There are two paths of mediation effect:family function → positive emotion regulation strategy → psychological capital → life satisfaction;family function → Negative emotion regulation strategy → psychological capital → life satisfaction;family function → psychological capital → life satisfaction.
