Local moral educational resources are mainly involved with local geographical, humane historical and social developmental resources, related to where a school is, which can serve alternatively as moral educational resources. They fall into the category of the outside curriculums resources of a school, and their vitality lies in the fact that they are concrete and lively. They are good resources for students to practice their moral activities, have moral experiences and improve their morality. Therefore, it is important that a school should effectively exploit and make use of its local educational resources, and strengthen in practice its objectivity and effectiveness of moral education.It is of great significance to exploit local moral educational resources. It pours life and vividness into moral education, and brings rich examples to moral lessons and moral experiences. It leads students out of the limited vision by textbooks and other in-school resources, and frame rationally the structure and function of school curriculums. It helps greatly to transfer the function of moral education curriculums, to broaden the range of moral education curriculums and to change students' ways of morality learning.The Three Gorges area has abundant natural resources and historical and cultural resources of particular characteristics, by which education on patriotism, environmental protection, aesthetic judgment, ideals and cutur4al traditions can be achieved. Not only is the Three Gorge Project a magnificent man-made building, but it also holds in store very rich moral educational resources.
