As the big country of the economy and the education in 21 century, the United States has its lead position in the world' s education history. One hand it benefits from its might political and economic strength, and the other hand from its crisis consciousness towards today and the future. In 1983,The United States announced the report that is the Nation at Risk. The report points that the concept of value of confusion in the primary and junior high school is one of the four greatest key problems. In the beginning of 1980s, the United States school brought about astounding "character education sport" .Today, "character education" has become a hot topic in the public of the United States. More and more person discuss the target and principle of character education, and it also brings new vitality to primary and junior high schools' education.This text makes use of the history research and comparison research method etc. It commences with the proceed of the character education in the United States' school, basis on the large quantity cultural heritage, and it analysis the content, Characteristics and present condition of American primary and junior high schools' character education.
