Rural children education policy is one important part of the whole children education system, and it is an important guarantee of rural children education development. So strengthening the research of rural children education policy is propitious to the healthy advance of rural children education. But at present our academic circle's studies on the historical study of China's rural children education policy, realistic study, countermeasures and pertinent theoretical study are very weak, which is the reason that I choose the research on the development of China's rural childhood education policy in a New Period as my study subject. The paper tries to study what have taken place for rural children education policy since 1978, sums up some traits in every phase, analyzes the key problems at present, and puts forward some theoretical viewpoints and countermeasures.The paper discusses the aim, reason and the principal research method in the introduction. The following are three important parts:In part one, the paper divides the whole development course into four stages according to different evolutive characters: set things right on rural childhood education policy, the establishment and the performation of absolute rural childhood education policy, the standardization of rural childhood education policy, the establishment and the development of rural childhood making education policy.
