IT has been used for 20 years in ordinary schools in our country, and it has been developed very rapidly in recent years. It is one of the six projects put forward in the Activity Plan of Vitalizing Education from 2003 to 2007 by the State Council, which emphasizes on promoting education informatization, improving basic facilities of formatization and training talented people. To integrate IT into teaching is also mentioned in the Basic Education Curriculum Reform. With the presence of this program, confrontations appeared, teachers in ordinary schools know little about integrating IT into curriculum. Schools are lack of information facilities. So the purpose of the present paper is to make people know more about the characteristics and the basic mode of integrating IT into curriculum. Methods such as experimental, deductive, analyzing and documental are used in this paper. The writer is trying to put forward the three characteristics of this integration and analyze the possible wrong regions of the technology. Thereafter the writer puts forward some suggestions on how to integrate IT into curriculum. From this research, the write can draw a conclusion: the pressure of being examined, the lack of materials and the backwards of technology are the vital factors of preventing the development of this integration. In order to solve this problem, the writer has done some research in the urban areas in Xiangtan, which is an average developed city, hoping to have some significance to the work of similar schools.
