Spatial Distribution Of Regional Higher Education And Balanced Development Of Education

The issue of balanced development of education has got more and more concerned by scholars which have been caused by tremendously unbalanced development of regional education. Many scholars have research this issue on the principle of education justice and equilibrium opportunity for education, and have got consistent with issues of balanced development of basic education and compulsory education. There are different even conflicting opinions with whether higher education can get balance development, what difference exits between it and that of basic education, and how to promote balance development of regional higher education. So we sill research and exploit these issues to get common agreement on it. On the principle of educational geography, the author puts regional higher education into regional system to study relationship among region, spatial distribution of regional higher education and balanced development of education with methods and theories of geography, educational geography and regional development. There are two goals for this thesis. One is to deepen understand of the meaning of balanced development of education. The other is to promote relatively balanced development of regional higher education by means of optimizing the higher education resource, narrowing the educational gap between different regions. The thesis is consisted of three parts.Part I: Relationship of spatial distribution of regional higher education andbalanced development of educationIn this part, the author raises it is important content and necessary condition for balanced development of education to reasonably adjust spatial distribution of regional higher education as well as puts out that balanced development of regional higher education should have four content at least. It is core concept of balanced development of education to narrow the educational gap between different region after analyzing material . The author also thinks it is very well to set up harmonious society to promote regional higher education tobalancedly develop .Part II: Theory and tactics studying to promote education balanceddevelopment through reasonably allocatingEducational regionalization and frontier region higher educational development are two important problems to educational balanced development. The former is basis to adjust educational distribution, the latter is premise of narrowing educational gaps. In this part, the author probes into the common theory of educational regionalization and puts out there are relations between educational centre region and educational frontier region .According to theories of regional development, it is necessary and possible to develop higher education in frontier region for promote regional economy and education to balanced develop .Part III: Individual studying------spatial allocation and regionalizationin YunnanAccordi-ng to two former parts studying , the author analyses present situation of spatial allocation of higher education in Yunnan and regionalize it as well as raises a few suggests about adjusting allocation of higher education. On the bases geographic position of administrative regions and economic ones, there are five educational regions in Yunnan after regionalizing and there also are three educational regions according to level of educational development.
