With the development of bio-science and the rising of bio-engineering industry, bio-technology has penetrated into every aspect of social life, the prediction of THE 21st CENTURY IS A BIO-CENTURY is being proven by us. Biology teaching in senior middle school (hereinafter SMS), one of the fundamental subjects, plays an important role in the developing process of bio-science and bio-tech. However, the importance of Senior biology teaching has been ignored by students, schools and our society, because of the long-term influence of many factors on biology teaching in SMS, which was companioned by complaining from teachers or students who complained it hard to teach or to learn. Therefore, the author takes senior biology teaching of Baoshan Municipality as an interface, and studies the hardship we faced in biology teaching from 7 parts as follows.Part1, Raise A Subject to Be Studied;Part2, An Argumentation On Researching Significance And The Situation At Home And Abroad;Part3, Explanation to Researching Objects and Its Methods;Part4, Statistics of Hardship Faced in Senior Biology Teaching of Baoshan;Part5, Analysis on the Result of Survey. The result shows six major factors influenced our present senior biology teaching as follows.1. The position of biology is lower than other subjects.2. The teachers' qualities can hardly fit the new requests.3. The students' qualities are waiting to be enhanced.4. The textbooks and the data information are intermingled with the good and the bad.5. Inadequate investments in teaching equipments.Part6, Raise the Principles to Be Obeyed in Biology Teaching and Education Strategies to Be Taken, and the Problems Waiting To Be Further Solved ended the last part.
