Research On Compilation And Experimental Results Of "Number And Algebra" In Pilot Mathematics Textbook For Elementary Schools

"Number and algebra"' is a part of traditional content in mathematics textbook for elementary schools. The Standard of Mathematics Curriculum for Compulsory Education put forward advanced demands for the compilation and use of textbook. Nowadays, there are four editions of textbook for mathematics curriculum standard. Based on the pilot mathematics textbook published by Southwest China Normal University, this paper investigates "number and algebra" by combining the compilation of mathematics textbook with teaching experiments.The author studies the compilation of "number and algebra" in idea, frame design, characteristics, emphases and difficulty problems and their solutions. By research on the experimental results of "number and algebra", the author obtains the following results:1) The compilation of "number and algebra" in pilot mathematics textbooks is characterized by selecting material from the real life of students, providing students with scene to study; presenting various expressional forms, and inspiring students to study etc, hence it strengthens the training of students' number sense and pays attention to harmonious development of the logical system of knowledge and cognitive mind of students.2) The compilation of "number and algebra" in pilot mathematics textbook is...
