Two social problems—afterhours life and healthiness has appeared in our country because of of improvement of standard of living,which only existed in developed countries. So the nation, local government and the masses begin to make a point of improving people's living quality. And mass sports is one of important factors which influence people's living quality. Though it has achieved definite development there are also many problems. So we have to analyse characters of mass sports development in different countries, cast about for intrinsic rules, then seek a way which suit our country's mass sports development. This research try to provide conductive reference for our country's mass sports development by comparing Japanese mass sports with Chinese mass sports.There are four parts:Part one: Introduction. It generally introduces the reason, meaning and research plan of the issue and the development of mass sports in Japan and China.Part two: the Analysis of Factors Which Influence These Two Countries'Mass Sports Development. This part compare Japanese mass sports with Chinese mass sports mainly from two aspects. One is manage institution and policy of mass sports development, the other is organizing and running. These two aspects basically include the system of organizing, sports club, sports instructors, people's corporeity inspecting, scientific research and laws of mass sports.Part three: Countermeasure and Consideration. It carries through farther dissertation on base of part two.Part four: Concluding Remarks. It points out the foreground of Chinese mass sports and orientation of relative research through the above analysis.
