New curriculum reform points that Chinese teaching should foucs on improve students' Chinese qualities comprehensively and it should strengthen the foundation of excellent traditional Chinese culture. Therefore ,the advancing of the task—the experiments and studies of the teaching of senior Chinese book reading in the blueprint of the 15th countrywide educational science is not only fairly necessary to the improvement of new curriculum, but also to the development of modern Chinese course education.Based on the textual education of junior Chinese, the teaching of senior Chinese books reading aims at guiding senior students to comprehend the books. Evaluation on books reading effect play an important role in the practice of books reading teaching as well as the attainment of its cultivating goal.This dissertation consists of three parts :Part one is concerned with the significance of evaluation on books reading effect. After introducing the content and current situation of the teaching of senior Chinese books reading, the writer analyse fundermental factors that influence on the effect of senior students' books reading. It is believed that the evaluation can help to improve the quality of teaching experiment by rethinking and rearranging, and develop the students in all-round way by positive guidance.Part Two deals with the idea of establishing a system of evaluation on senior Chinese books reading. It first points out that this new system is more scientific than the system of traditional Chinese evaluation for its operation on the basic principle of development, encouragement, opening and independence and its pursuit of promoting students' development, and then discuss the supplement of evaluation with new items and the establishment of multi-criterion of evaluation.
