In China, whether as the theoretical or practical question , student—studentinteraction can't be regarded importantly for a long time. It is restricted, because peoplethink it is negative. In fact, classroom teaching is intricate. Teacher and students alwaysimpact each other. Since beginning of the New Curriculum Reform, cooperativelearning has became the "bright point", more and more teachers use it in their teachingas a useful teaching strategy. But we also can find some problems from the literaturesurvey and observations from the practical classroom activities, for example,formalizing of student—student interaction, running short of enough supportive sourcesin cooperative learning ,and so on. Especially, people can't convince themselves of thevalue of student—student interaction in cooperative learning correctly, which has aneffect on the result of student—student interaction at last. Based on those that otherpeople has done, this thesis permeates the analysis of the student—student interactionin the cooperative learning from the theoretical and practical aspects, including theanalysis of the principle connotation, basic structures and the essential process ofstudent—student interaction in cooperative learning with the purpose of providingreasonable and effective suggestions for the classroom teaching at the moment.The thesis consists of six parts. The first part is introduction, which introduce thereason why does this study simply. The second part dissertates the current situation ofstudent—student interaction in cooperative learning in China and foreign countries. Thethird part mainly offers the theoretical construction of student—student interaction incooperative learning,including four parts. Firstly, it give the theoretical anatomyaccording to the Social learning theories, the Zone of Proximal Development theories,the Cognitive Elaboration theories and the Social Constructionism theories. Secondly, itdefines some fundamental conceptions, including interaction, student —studentinteraction and student —student interaction in cooperative learning. Thirdly, itcategorizes and analyzes the student —student interaction in cooperativelearning ,including peer tutoring, peer collaboration and peer cooperation interaction .
