Higher technical education aims at training qualified people administered by Higher Education Institution. Higher vocational teachers education, as a branch of higher education, arrive in a new developing stage through constant reforms. But the major teaching materials, especially content of courses in the county still need the teachers edit themselves. The unique courses system has not completely established in higher vocational education system in our country, which come with some blindness and unscientific. Physical Education, as one major part of the vocational and technical college, its content of courses has always adopted the teaching material in universities instead of the teaching materials with the characteristics of vocational and technical education.Based on the correlation documents, teaching materials and the current situation of PE in higher vocational education, the thesis has studied the characteristics of vocational PE on content and evaluation of courses in order to provide related basis for courses writing and assessing the evaluation system. The study has shown as follows: (1) The reform of PE teaching must focus on the teaching objects. The teaching objects, which has not well shown the characteristics and has affected the content of course, is not clear. The current objects of PE teaching consists of health first, lifelong training, participating, sports skills and vocational education. (2)The reform should combine the following four aspects—there are less classes, content of courses breaks away from the objects, teaching methods are monotonous and the theory levels of teachers arelow.(3)The reform should contribute to the development of students characters to meet the demands of sports practice in teaching. (4)The reform should contribute to teaching objects. Simple, multi-evaluation methods established by teachers and students should be adopted.
