Since the reform and opening up, China has undergone enormous changes i n social sphere. In education industry, rapid development has taken place in high er vocational education. The school-running idea of higher vocational education is based on the idea of supporting regional economy. Its goal is to produce high-skilled talents suitable for production, construction, management in our country1s social and economic development. In order to improve the teaching quality an d the teachers’academic level, establish and improve the system of teacher’s eva luation is an urgent work and of long-term significance. A perfect teacher’s eval uation model can not only provide guidance for teachers’ professional developm ent, but also arouse the enthusiasm of teachers’ work. With the help of methods li ke literature research, case studies, comparative studies and surveys, taking Gua ngxi Vocational&Technical Institute of Industry as an example, this paper prob es into the existed problems of teacher’s evaluation work in higher education in China and their potential causes, and presents the suggestion that higher vocatio nal college should equip with developmental and people-oriented concept, and e stablish a scientific evaluation system, the integrated use of development and re ward and punishment system. Through this paper, the author hopes to provide s ome valuable theory for the teachers’ evaluation in vocational colleges.
