When the nine-year compulsory education had been basically popularized throughout our country, the social, economic and educational development in our country has brought great demand for the development of the compulsory education. By far, the reform of the compulsory education has been carried to a comprehensive scale in a down-to-earth manner and the reform for the organization system of the management of teachers has been undergone step by step. The fundamental guarantee for the educational reform and development lies in the work force of teachers. Much research has been done on teachers' social status, the teachers' qualities and the school management of teachers, but little has been done on strengthening the work force of teachers, even less on strengthening the work force of the compulsory educational teachers. If any, it is only for the microscopic or middle-scaled research of the national or provincial level or for the research on one aspect of the compulsory education.This thesis is to find out the problems existing in strengthening the work force of the compulsory educational teachers in Jian City, Jiangxi Province based on the analysis on the present condition of the work force of the compulsory educational teachers. These problems include the unreasonable age structure and subject structure, the unreasonable ratio between the young teachers and the old ones in the high-ranking professional posts in which there are too many old ones, how to improve the teachers-records of training, the instability of the work force and unbalanced distribution of teachers over the rural and urban areas, the training for the young and middle-aged key teachers, the problem that the present ability structure of the work force doesn' t suit the needs of the compulsory educational development and problems of morals and qualities of the teachers, and so on. This thesis mainly probes deeply into the present organization system of the management of teachers, the mechanism of teachers training and other aspects to make thorough research on the reasons for the above-mentioned problems. It aims to make some suggestions and measures for strengthening the work force of teachers in the less developed areas. in order to make the work force of teachers more specialized and of higher quality. These suggestions and measures are mainly for further realizing the above-mentioned organization system of management of teachers, further improving the goals for training teachers, deepening the reform of the human resource system of primary and middle school teachers, making the work force of teachers vigorous, establishing high-quality training system for teachers.
