Study On Training Students' Ability To Independent Learning In The Circumstances Of Distance Education

It is the current social development and school education that has expounded a new and higher demand to individual's independent learning. But, at present, college students' ability to independent learning is worrying , which gives expression to the fact that apparently ,we haven't done enough researches on the pattern of teaching guidance to independent learning in the circumstances of distance education, and haven't yet offered very good theoretical support and guidance for colleges in training students' ability to independent learning. Therefore, this subject of study aims at probing the general pattern of independent learning in the circumstances of distance education, exploring the main barrier existing in students' independent learning, putting forward the effective tactics to raise students' ability to independent learning, and laying a solid foundation for themselves' sustainable development.In theory, firstly, by the theoretical analyses to the current theories of independent learning, this subject of study summarizes the enlightenment of these theories to train students' ability to independent learning. Secondly, by setting a sight to the pattern of independent learning from the current teaching experiences, it gives the location to the key links of the pattern of independent learning. Finally, it comes into being the general technological process of independent learning in the circumstances of distance education, and finishes theoretical building of the pattern of independent learning.In practice, by interviewing students and making document investigations and studies, I get acquainted with the conditions of independent learning of the open education students in Nantong TV University. At the same time, according to the teaching of the course named Introductory Theory on Education Technology in our school, and by adopting Action-Study Method, I make the wholly correcting andperfecting to the pattern of independent learning pattern in the circumstances of distance education, analyze the main characteristics of independent learning, and explore the evaluating methods of it's ability in the circumstances of distance education.Through the combined theoretical and practical researches, I find that there exists the following principal issues in students' independent learning in the circumstances of distance education: the awareness of independent learning is not strong, the interactive and cooperative learning is insufficient, students' elementary knowledge is weak, the multimedia learning resources is not abundant, etc. So I preliminarily set forth the strategy system of elevating students' ability to independent learning, which is independent learning, that is the tactics of learning, supporting services, that is the tactics of teaching, and two-way communication, that is the unity of teaching and learning.This subject of study also believes that there needs more thorough and comprehensive researches on the inner factors of affecting students' independent learning and the spreading of the general pattern of independent learning in the circumstances of distance education.
