Cooperative Learning is a kind of practical strategy. It is very helpful for students to promote their learning and academic achievement ; increase their retention; enhance their satisfaction with their learning experience ; help them to develop skills in oral communication ;develop their social skills; promote their self-esteem and positive race relations. Many cities in China adopts Go For It in junior high school, it is a book with original forms, interesting contents which are closed to the children's own lives. It demands the students to master and use the knowledge based on the tasks in groups. 《New English Curriculum Standards》(2003) demands clearly that Primary and Junior School English courses emphasize on the development of the students'integrated language competence aiming at the students'interests, life experience and cognitive level, advocates the learning methods of experience practice, participant, cooperation, communication and the approach of task-based teaching ,making the process of learning language the one that develops the students'active sensibility, thought and experience bravely and promoting the students'cross-culture consciousness and the ability of studying independently. The essay analyzes the English teaching rules and methods and the current state of English teaching, sets forth the background , the concepts, the significance, the theories and the forms of the Group and Cooperative Learning, and how to do it., attempts to closely combine it with English teaching. It is creative to evaluate the students'study with 'increased marks'. It is very helpful to the students and English teaching.
