To construct a team of teachers with high quality can ensure the broadening of general education. The reflection of teachers' own teaching activity is an important approach of improving their quality. Improving the ability of reflection of teaching is the one effective way of teacher's specialization development.In this thesis, firstly combining of the character of biology summarize the theory of reflection of teaching from four aspect. Then .according to the four lenses of observing teaching practice advised in 《Becoming a Critically Reflective Teacher 》 worked by Brookfield, I workout two piece of questionnaire. Taking 98 biology teacher of 51 high school in Lanzhou city as subject, the paper discusses the high school biology teachers' cognition on reflection of teaching and the characteristics of the behavior of reflection 。 The results indicate:1. Significant differences among key middle school biology teachers and common middle school biology teachers are found regarding their cognition on reflection of teaching through communication with students and colleagues. Great significant differences are reported on the cognition and behavior of reflection teaching through intercourse with students.2. There are distinct gender differences existing among female and male biology teachers regarding their cognition on reflection of teaching through interaction with students and colleagues. Significant gender differences are found regarding the behavior of reflection of teaching through students.3. Significant teaching-age differences between those who teach less than ten years and those who teach more than ten years are found regarding the behavior of reflection of teaching through students and literature. Teaching-age influences the biology teachers to choice reflection's content and manner.4. The major that the biology teachers studied influences reflection of teaching.5.The teaching task, the interests and attitudes of teacher, the cooperation among teachers and the system and culture of school influence the teacher's reflection of teaching.6. The middle school biology teaching should enhance the reflection of teaching.The reflection of teaching demands teachers for the ability of reflection. Heresuch ability is regarded as the necessary condition under which teachers can reflect. The ability of reflection is mainly cultivated by advancing reflection consciousness, enhancing school-based training, delaminating cultivating and the continuing education .The continuing education to teachers aims at the cultivation of such reflection ability, so it demands renewal of the Prerequisite of the continuative education and the revolution of its content, process and form.
