The countries all over the world have explored and improved the system of teachers appraise successively since the 1980s, summarized the defect of Administrative appraise of teachers , and probed into a system which does good to teachers' professional development and benefits educational quality in practice. Teachers' professional development, which teachers around the world aims mainly, purposes to promote the teacher's professional quality and professional status, making the teacher such professional personages as the lawyer, doctor, etc., developing in one's own professional direction constantly, and getting the teacher to obtain higher social status and economic income. Teacher's professional development involves the efforts of every aspect; This essay tries to cover the impact on teacher's professional development and introspection from teacher's appraisal system.The article is made up of the preface and three parts.It is analysed professional background of teachers' development in the preface in a way of teachers' evaluation; and talks about the author's teaching experience in the secondary school, illustrating the necessity that the reform of the appraises system makes it good to teacher's professional development.The first part tells at first the positive and passive function of the teacher appraises made by teachers' evaluation on teachers' professional development, so as to expound teachers' appraises involved in the teacher's professional development.The second part is divided into three subparts, which the essay's key content lies in. This passage explains that administrative teacher appraises adopted popularly now is unfavorable to teacher's professional development, and does research roughly on the reason why some this takes place often, which both bases on my own personal feeling on teacher's profession in some middle schools of Hang Zhou and that is done by collecting some materials investigated in interviews and analyzing some cases.The third part relates to exploring and setting up contents, principles of appraise of teachers by drawing lessons from Britain , U.S.A. ,etc, and some existing questions as well as with the successful experience of these countries and disadvantages, so as to appraise the system and bring about an advanced teacher's profession more than Administrative appraise of teachers.
