The teachers engaged in the higher vocational education are faced with a stern situation. Because the higher vocational education has its own particularity, and it is faced with the market competition, the teachers in the higher vocational colleges have a sense of teaching crisis in order to survive. The teachers have obvious utilitarian nature in their professional development, thus teacher specialization has truly become "the luxury goods". To a certain extent, it has affected the improvement and the function of the higher vocational education teaching quality, and has become a theoretical issue which needs an urgent solution.At present, the domestic research on the subject is merely limited to a general sense of the specialization of teachers in primary and secondary schools. Combining the special type -higher vocational education, there is no research on the specialization of teachers. However, the development of the higher vocational education needs teachers with professional self-concepts and professional self-determination development. Because of its institutions nature and its objects particularity, the higher vocational colleges have different requirements for teacher's professional development. Therefore, the research on teacher's professional specialization in the higher vocational colleges is a new theoretical subject.This paper mainly takes the teacher specialization ideological trend as a background, takes the teacher professional development theory as the basis, unifies the teachers' raise and training reality of the higher vocational colleges in our country, and makes a deep research on the higher vocational college teachers' professional development.This paper mainly reveals the following basis concepts: first, as the higher vocational college teachers in colleges has not only the specialization problems but also a difficult task; secondly, higher vocational college teachers have their own professional development particularities in the content, orientation, ways, etc.; thirdly, the professional qualities structure of teachers in higher vocational colleges has its own features, and the patterns of teachers continuing professional education needs innovation.The author mainly adopts methods of historical research, comparison research and so on, and focuses on the following questions to do a thorough research gradually: The first section is an introduction, mainly discussing the significance and value of this research, research background and literature analysis, research methods and contents etc.The second section is an outline of teacher's specialization development. It mainly discusses teacher's specialization development situation in the international horizon, presents its situation in our country, including: teacher team structure is unsuitable; teacher's professional development is not balanced; and the funds problem of constructing teacher team is an important factor in restricting teachers' professional development in the higher vocational colleges.The third section is about the teacher's specialization characteristic of the higher vocational education in the world. It mainly states overseas teacher's specialization development: the higher educational level characteristic is quite obvious; part-time teachers are principal parts; teaching is the primary task to the teacher; it especially emphasizes teacher's specialized continuing education. However, there still exist the following problems: although teachers have higher school record, they lack the qualifications system guarantee; excessive part-time teachers lack training which they should have. Compared with it, we should pay attention to following several points in our country: strengthening teacher's on-the-job training, enhancing teacher's professional development self-consciousness, setting up strict procedures for the engaged part-time teachers, emphasizing the part-time teacher's qualifications, establishing evaluation system by taking teachers professional development as a goal.The fourth section is related to higher vocational college's teacher's professional development goal orientation in our country. It mainly analyzes didactical particularity which decides teacher's characteristic in the higher vocational colleges, from specialty to teachers specialization, teacher professional development to teacher specialized qualities and higher vocational colleges teacher's basic characteristic. And it proposes the higher vocational college's teacher's professional development orientation.The fifth section is on how the higher vocational college's teachers can become researchers. It mainly discusses the significance of education knowledge and education research consciousness in making a teacher become a true researcher. Based on analyzing the differences between the higher vocational college's teachers and researchers, in the view of teachers' professional development, it mentions the essential ways of making a teacher become a researcher: teachers social role is the important foundation; teachers professional self-determination development consciousness is the key; and teachers evaluation in the higher vocational colleges is the guidance.The sixth section is discussing the patterns of teachers continuing professional education based on the higher vocational colleges teachers professional development. By analyzing the present situation in our country, the author attempted to come up with two kinds of patterns, that is Simulation Practice training pattern and College -Community -Corporation integrated pattern.
