Based on a great deal of fruit of researching into class size reduction home and abroad and comparatively further thinking, and combined with an educational experiment on class size reduction of our middle-school, the writer thinks that class size reduction is advanced form of education, and represent developmental direction of modern education. The exploration of class size reduction will provide theoretical instruction in process of the experiment of class size reduction, promote more men and women of insight to pay attention to this problem, and urge sincerely the relevant educational administration to draw up developmental policy and indemnificatory mechanism of class size reduction that adapt to the situation of our country in order to lead and normalize development of our country's class size reduction.The reform of new courses calls class size reduction. The writer thinks that we can make use of the strategy of " three steps to walk" in the phase of universal compulsory education because economic condition of the eastern region of our country differs greatly from western region. In some place that have condition, we should extend class size reduction in advance, and in some place that have no condition, we should promote the mode of teaching that contains spirit of "class size reduction" at first before transferring to the real class size reduction.However, insufficient educational resources and still more students make class size reduction in Chinese foundational education come true only at individual place and individual class. In other words, it is not an overall situation. But the experiment on class size reduction what pays attention to individual student, practices teaching student according to his ability, perfects relations between teachers and pupils, investigates cooperation of families and schools, and emphasizes the importance of humanism of education, have already become the important focus of the educational fulfillment and research, perhaps these are exactly the most worthy things that we pay attention to in the research of class size reduction.
