With the setting-up of the socialist market economy system, the non-government funded higher education in our country develops rapidly. Moral education plays an important role in the development of non-public universities and colleges, and the construction of teams of moral education has been put in the important agenda step by step. Therefore, the study of this subject has both theoretic and realistic significance.The thesis consists of four parts. The first part discusses the development of the non-public universities and the importance of moral education. It argues that as an important part of the higher education of China, non-public universities and colleges should attach significance to moral education. Apart from sticking to the direction of running a school of socialism, carrying out Chinese Communist Party's educational policy in an all-sided way, promoting the all-around development of the college students, they should also give priority to moral education, and strengthen the construction of moral education teams. The second part analyzes the problems in the construction of moral education teams in non-public universities and colleges as well as the causes of them. The article points out that because non-public universities and colleges have to raise funds by themselves and run based on market mechanism totally, the sponsors are likely to run the schools like running the enterprises, putting emphasis to profits but making light of the social benefits. Consequently, they fail to plough enough work into moral education, weakening the construction of moral education team. The thesis has an detailed analysis of the misunderstandings of the value of moral education, the weak direction of social policy and the defects of the mechanism in non-public universities and colleges. The third part explained the qualities and competence structure of moral educators of non-public universities. Based on a summary of previous theories, combined with its own working experiences in a non-public university, the author systematicallyconcludes the structure of qualities and competence for the moral educators of the universities, consisting of steady political belief, solid basis of theory, encyclopedic knowledge of operation, good mental quality, noble spirit of dedication, special and attractive personality, the ability to investigate and speak eloquently, and the capability of organization and social interaction. As a conclusion, the fourth part puts forward the main approaches of constructing the moral education teams in non-public universities and colleges. The thesis brings forward its own constructive ideas including to create a good environment for moral education, to enhance of the quality of moral education teams, to make the workers more specialized and skilled, to set up scientific operating system, and to arrange the development of the moral education workers comprehensively.
