Mental education is a contradictorily dynamic process consisting of four basic elements: education main body, object, medium and surroundings, in which education medium is a mean and a tool for moral education worker to impart the necessary social moral criterion in the process leading the mentality and behavior to change expectably of the educating object. Moral educator builds the educating and educated relationship with object through education medium. However, the systemic research on education medium is little, so it is of great significance to study the influence of education medium on the validity of moral education. This paper discusses generally this problem from five aspects: factor and structure, feature and behavior of education medium, relationship with education object, relationship between education object and surroundings, and the influence of education medium on the validity of moral education. This paper mainly discusses the factors and structure of education medium; gives new generation and expatiates on the special property of education medium; proposes that education medium has five basic features: main body, direction or objective, arrangement, practice and development; puts forward four particular behave manners: the unification of publicity and concealment, dominant and variety, stability and development, theory and practice; illustrates that the dialectic relationship between education medium and education main body, object and surroundings. The core content in this paper is the influences of education medium on the validity of moral education, whose active influences i.e. effective features of education medium, have five aspects: firstly the scientific and modern feature; secondly the suit to education main body; thirdly the pertinence to education object; fourthly the adaptability to the education surroundings, and fifthly the obedience to the moral education goal. In addition, this paper imagines how to optimize effective education medium in terms of modern education contents and methods.
