The Teaching Of Reading And The Development Of Students' Healthy Personality

Chinese is a subject of humanities, so it must pay close attention to the development of students' personalities. The Chinese teaching system consists of the teaching of listening, the teaching of talking, the teaching of reading and the teaching of writing. As for the Chinese teaching during the middle school period, the teaching of reading plays quite an important role in it. It is during the learning stage of the middle school that the students begin to form their personalities. So it seems to be every teacher's responsibility trying to help the students develop a healthy personality. Since a Chinese teacher in a middle school, I try to make a bridge between the teaching of reading and the students' development of a healthy personality, exploring the connection and mutual effect between them.The article comprises three parts. The first part analyzes the relationship between the teaching of reading and the development of a healthy personality, makes clear the definitions of the two items and emphasizes the connection between them, that is, the teaching of reading should help the students form a healthy personality, and the formation of a healthy personality also has great effect on the teaching of reading, which shouldn't be ignored. The second part talks about the tactics used to help the students form a healthy personality in the teaching of reading. It tells how to make it from the psychological process, the tendency of personality, the character of psychology and the system of self-regulation, which are the four aspects of the personality. The third part concerns the demands to the teaching of reading for a healthy personality. This part elaborates the requirement specially from the aspects of the reading materials, the teaching methods the different roles of teachers and students in the teaching of reading, the sphere in time and place in the teaching of reading and the evaluation system in it.
