In order to improve the teaching of reading in English, reveal the reader's thinking process, help the reader solve the problem of spending much time with few achievements while reading, we should advocate the Three-Stage Teaching Model for Senior English Reading from the Perspective of Reading Psychological Process to remodel the past knowledge-based analytical teaching approach. While cultivating the students' linguistic competence, teachers should also emphasize the importance of teaching them the non-linguistic skills.The paper establishes a teaching mode of English reading comprehension in accordance with Psychological linguistic, Cognitive psychology, Educational psychology and Systematic science, and sets Three-Stage Teaching Model of Reading. This paper discusses the problems students may encounter at the Pre-reading stage, While-reading stage, and Post-reading stage. It also gives some advice on how to lead the students in applying to their reading through discourse. Meanwhile, it emphasizes that reading can't be effective without cultural background knowledge which plays a very important role in understanding the context.In order to make a further test about the effect of this teaching model, I did a questionnaire and an experiment which lasted a school term. The demonstrating part recounts each procedure of the demonstration of the Three-Stage Teaching Model for Senior English Reading, and statistics of the results of this experiment. Also, I recommend the teaching principles and strategies the Three-Stage Teaching Model for Senior English Reading uses.The result of the experiment shows that Three-Stage Teaching Model for Senior English Reading can improve the quality of English teaching, and can especially make most students learn English more easily than before. With the development of their reading skills, they also obtained some reading strategies. This model can make the students learn English in class actively and happily, and it can make the students do reading comprehension more communicatively. The Three-Stage Teaching Model for Senior English Reading can be used with various forms of reading materials.
