The research on mathematics learning disability is one of the important components of education for all-around development. Some research indicated that, advanced along with the grade, the mathematics ability backwardness of mathematics learning disability students becomes more and more serious. This is because mathematics is a highly constitutive and systematic discipline, any backwardness in learning will bring difficulty to later study. Therefore, the research on the reasons and countermeasures of mathematics learning disability, contributes to the proper education of those students, thus to improve the learning conditions of mathematics learning disability students in a certain extent.First, this article reviewed historical development of the research on mathematics learning disability, by aiming at the present situation in my own view, I established the research object of this article is mathematics learning disability students in high school.In the second part, I introduced the research method and step of this article. First from adopting the open-type questionnaire, I collected the main reason to the mathematics learning disability students in high school, and carried on the preliminary analysis to the result. On this foundation I designed the enclosed questionnaire, and obtained the further quantification data. Finally I carried on the individual interview to the students, through observing their solving question process, to confirm the result is whether consistent with the questionnaire survey data or not.In the third part, according to the open-type questionnaire survey, the enclosed questionnaire survey and the individual interview result, I carried on the factor analysis of mathematics learning disability, and finally led to the analysis of the causes to mathematics learning disability from four parts in mathematics study, which are motivation, problem symptom, problem solving strategy and metacognition.Finally, in view of the above factors, I proposed the corresponding countermeasures of mathematics learning disability. They are attribution training, stimulating and sustaining the motivation, strengthening the foundations and breaking through the difficulties, training of problem solving strategy and tiered teaching. Among them we should pay more attention to attribution training and tiered teaching.
